Gatsby’s Year in Review: 2022

It’s been quite the year at Gatsby! While we have a lot of new features and updates on the business side, it’s been equally exciting personally…but more on that at the end!

January 2022 – We kicked off 2022 with some big Instagram updates, starting with the ability to track all Instagram Story mentions. We then rolled out the ability to track and save high resolution content from all Instagram carousel posts

February 2022 –  We shared an exciting new case study with Promix Nutrition, who worked with ecommerce expert Ben Zettler to implement Gatsby to build, manage and scale their ambassador program. Spoiler alert: it was a success! We also launched another Instagram feature: the ability to DM your customers directly within the Gatsby dashboard.

March 2022 – We spent most of March heads down, because some big things were in the works…

April 2022 – Arguably one of our most powerful updates of the year, we launched Revenue Tracking, allowing merchants to further scale their influencer marketing and community management through unique, shareable coupon codes. Plus, we rolled out Full Social Listening, allowing you to track every Instagram Story and post that mentions your brand. It was a big month!

May 2022 – By popular demand, we launched TikTok Media Tracking, allowing you to automatically track up to 5 hashtag mentions, plus view key data like engagement. We also launched an integration with Yotpo, allowing you to reward customers for Instagram and TikTok mentions with Yotpo loyalty points.

June 2022– We created an integration with LoyaltyLion, allowing LoyaltyLion and Gatsby customers to automate rewards and prizes for social media activity.

July 2022– We launched a partnership with another loyalty program: Stamped. Notice a trend? Loyalty programs were especially hot in 2022 (and they’re only getting hotter!).

August 2022– Just in time for Instagram to turn all video content into Reels, we launched Reels tracking. Plus, we were honored to be featured as one of the key technologies in Smartbug’s preferred tech stack

September 2022– Our friends at Klaviyo shared a powerful case study featuring Kulani Kinis, who used Gatsby and Klaviyo to automate their “Sun Chasers” ambassador program with a whopping 17x ROI! But that’s not all – read the full story here!

October 2022 – We launched our first official BFCM playbook, featuring actionable advice and takeaways from partners like Klaviyo, Attentive, LoyaltyLion, FourSixty, Stamped, Tequila Sunrise, Smartbug and more!

November– We ended the year on an especially high note, with Brett’s wedding! Cheers to him and Erica! Brett wanted to add a personal note:

I just want to express how thrilled I am looking back at this past year. It’s amazing to see everything we’ve accomplished on one page, and I can’t believe we didn’t even have story tracking until January! Feels like we’ve had that forever now.

And then to cap off the year marrying my best friend, what more could I ask for?! My wife Erica put together the most beautiful wedding weekend, before jumping on a plane to Greece and Paris.

I’m so lucky to have such a great team and product that everyone thrived even when I took some time away.
